Integrated Art Experiences

There is a power in nature that captivates the eye, fills the soul and runs down your body to vibrate in your hands shouting "create, express and share".

The process of artistic expression creeps up on you. Hours spent in doodling, sketching from nature or imagination become gifts or presents for loved ones.

It is a process that flows and ebbs, evolves and moves like water: sometimes with great force, sometimes with a gentle caress.  Like water the process is always moving, and changing allowing skill to develop and new applications of expression to evolve.

Watercolor layers like the interactions of a well written story. Each transparency of color and texture built like a well crafted play full of interesting characters and unplanned twists.

Pastels are the tactile caress of seasons, full of color and reflections of life and vision.  

These were my first loves. Through ceramics, which is touching the very essence of the earth I forged a bond with texture, color and structures.

I am an artist before I am a teacher. My own experience,  when  I was a student, shaped how I teach today. Fostering the creative process for my students.  This process allows us the chance to learn from each other. We often grow together during the journey into the arts.
