May Yard of the Month: The Nelums, 1334 Woodfield Drive

Every square inch of the Nelums' yard has been thoughtfully planned and cared for, with a variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals that add year-round color and texture. It's also filled with many decorative touches, such as planters, statuary, yard art and fountains. Covered patio seating in the back yard provides a perfect vantage point to relax and enjoy the scenery.

June Yard of the Month: Frankie Neill, 6219 Mossline Drive

Frankie Neill moved into her Mossline home 36 years ago and started filling the yard with plants passed down through her family. The beautiful lavender flowers in bloom in her front yard (below right) are sweet Williams, which were inherited from her grandmother's garden. Her flower beds are filled with touch-me-nots (below left), which Frankie started from seeds given to her by her mother.

July Yard of the Month: Pat Adams, 1250 FerntreeWhen Pat began re-thinking her yard several years ago, she selected plants that would grow back each year. Now her yard comes alive every spring and summer with lantana, elephant ears, cannas and caladiums. Evergreen color is provided by a lush St. Augustine lawn, hollies, a gardenia and a loquat tree. Pat's yard proves that variety is the spice of landscaping - there's even a tomato plant in the mix! At left, Pat receives the Yard of the Month sign from Association President John Jones.
