The W-L Alumni Association was formed around the same time as the 75th year school anniversary. I had just started searching for our classmates, so I also had a part in this groups first meetings. I moved out of the immediate area, so I couldn't keep up with all the meetings, but have tried to stay in touch with the organization and what it is doing. You can read all about the wonderful things that they have done over the past years. I think it's fantastic. They have also fought for space in the new school to keep a lot of old items, trophies, prom dresses, yearbooks, Crossed Sabres, etc etc. It gives the new students something to look at and think about what a great school they are attending.
I have joined the association as a lifetime member, but you can help them by joining for even a year. We are talking $10 AND it is tax deductible! There is a link on the Alumni pages to the form you would need to fill out if you wish to join. Let's show them that 1966 was a banner year for alumni!!!
And for those of you that just may ask, "What is the Alumni Association going to do for me?". Well, how about taking every yearbook from the start till today, scan it, and have it posted so you can view it for free? Yep, that is exactly what they have done. Quite an undertaking, but now our yearbooks will be preserved for years to come.

Social Media
There is so much out there in the way of Social Networking today that individual sites are hard to keep up with it all. Our committee is not actively setting up any Twitter, Instagram, or other such accounts, but we DO have a Facebook Group.
Facebook Group
Chris Fairchild is doing the work on that one. We are trying to make it a place for our grads and their spouses. Feel free to join our group.
There is also another W-L Facebook Group that is open to grads from any year and it is located "HERE" .
Announcement Group
The Class of 1966 has an announcement group on groups.io. It is not any type of discussion group at the top level. I will send messages out from time to time to the whole class. If someone replies, that reply comes to only me and not the rest of the class. If you need to join, just go to https://wlhs1966.groups.io/g/ClassOf1966 and request to join the group. Once I verify you are from our Class, I will confirm the request.
