Extract data.bcp

Using bcpview

In the modding kit you can see a tool named “BCP Viewer/Extractor”, which allows you to extract all the files from data.bcp.

    1. Double-click bcpview.exe.

    2. Click File > Open….

    3. Select data.bcp (you can find it in the game’s installation directory/path).

    4. Click Tools > Extract all files.

    5. Click OK.

    6. Wait until a confirmation comes, click OK and quit the program.

The extracted files can be found at the directory named “bcpxtract” next to the executable.

Using the "used" directory

When you create a directory named "data_used" (for first WK) or "used" (for WK Battles) in the same directory as the executable and you run the game, it will extract certain game files into this directory.

The downside is that, as the name of the directory implies, only files that have been "used" will be extracted.

So, if for example you want to extract the texture of the Behemoth from WK Battles, you will have to play a game and spawn at least one Behemoth, so that its texture will be loaded, used, and automatically extracted to the "used" directory.

If you want to extract a file that is unused, than the only way to get it is from bcpview (or through custom AI General portrait file path).
