Exhibition Debate and workshop 

The Exhibition Debate and Workshop is run by Raffles Institution (Secondary) debaters. It is offered to teams that have registered for Wits & Words 2026. The events will be held online.

It will showcase a live debate with commentary and will involve a hands-on component to guide participants in preparing a motion. Teachers and students are encouraged to watch the exhibition debate so as to facilitate discussions about debates with the team.

Exhibition Debate: 2 Feb, 1500 - 1700

Debate Workshop: 4 Feb, 1600 - 1800

As the sessions cover only basic debate skills, priority will be given to teams new to Wits & Words. Please register only if your entire debate team is able to participate in the event. Successful applicants will be informed by 20 Jan via e-mail. As the workshop involves substantial planning and investment of time, please ensure that you honour the commitment if you accept a place.
