spirit communication From the begining of time man has been Fascinated by th eafter life and the communication with spirits.

From deceased love ones to guardian angels, people communicate with spirits for many different reasons. This introduction explains the different forms of psychic channeling and ways of working with Spirit.

Spirit communication is often associated with Ouija boards and séances. While these methods produce results, they should not be undertaken without the guidance of an experienced medium. The methods outlined here are safe ways to develop psychic skills for the beginner.

How to Quiet the Mind

Meditation is an obvious choice for stillness, but there are other ways to clear a cluttered mind. Sitting in nature for a time, or sitting quietly and taking several deep breaths, will also calm the thoughts, thus opening the mind to psychic communication.

Developing Clairvoyance (third eye)

Those with Second Sight are often described as clairvoyant, but this is just one of four ways in which to communicate with Spirit. Clairvoyance means “clear seeing”. Clairvoyants will see psychic guidance as images or movies in the mind’s eye. They may receive flashes of the past, present or future, or see pictorial symbols.

Ways to increase clairvoyance include guided meditations, which increase the ability to visualise, and balancing the third-eye chakra, which governs psychic awareness.

Begin by preparing a journal, placing a date at the top. You can also use your computer. Messages often come in symbols that reflect your abilities to interpret what is experienced with you third dimension mind. Helpful guides may include:

Lesson 1 - Opening the Third Eye - Seeing COLORS

Colors are very important as they are frequencies. Colors have tones and overtones.

Preparation:

Find a quiet place free of distractions. . .

Get comfortable

Close your eyes.

Relax your mind and body.

Focus on your breathing.

Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose.

Retain the breath as long as is comfortable.

Exhale through the mouth slowly and completely

Repeat for two more breaths ... or as is comfortable.

Focus your mind to 'view' a screen just behind your forehead.

Try this several times, for focus.

Your third eye will begin to open.

You are going to look for a color today - any color.

You may initially see 'black' - but be patient.

Keep watching the screen.

A color will manifest. It is often purple or indigo - the color of the third eye chakra.

Once you have experienced the color - stop for now.

Check out the meaning of the color. Try to connect something in your life with that color frequency.

Lesson 2 - Shapes

Today we will begin to look for shapes or images.

Some people feel more relaxed with music playing, other prefer silence to focus.

These images are always present as your consciousness is always busy in more than one reality of thought. Most people don't pay attention to the images because their are not programmed to look at images in higher frequency. Just because you wake up from your dream, does not mean your soul has stopped experiencing at that level of reality. Consciousness is multidimensional and ongoing. It is about learning, slowly in third dimension, but faster and faster as it spirals upward in frequency.

Prepare as you did in Lesson 1.

Focus on the screen in your mind behind your forehead again.

You will soon see a shape or image appear.

Make a mental note of the shape as it may be an archetype that your cellular memory has set in for you at this time, one without physical meaning.

Some shapes may remain stationery, while others become animated and holographic. Observe as if watching a flim strip, for in truth reality is nothing more than projected illusion - a hologram - in which souls experience virtually.

If you see nothing, practice with meditation, or the like. It will help you tune into to the images. It's like any other skill, the more your practice, the easier it becomes.

Blockages may come from mental illness, substance abuse, fear, lack of understanding what you see. or wanting an answer that is not shown.

Examine the images, then later record what you have seen. They may mean one thing to you today, and something else in the future.

Lesson 3 - Entities

Prepare as before.

As that a guide, deceased loved one, or other spirit, show themselves to you.

This may take a bit of practice.

Once connected ... as to be taken on a journey ... your past, future, destiny shown.

Again, this is after you feel comfortable with messages received.

This of course goes to meditation (receiving and listening) techniques. They are part of the healing realms and could offer good insight into who you are.

Once a message is given, as with all forms of divination, you cannot ask again. You can only ask for clarity.

Developing Clairaudience (ear chakra)

Those who are clairaudient are “clear hearing”. They “hear” messages from Spirit in their head, which may or may not sound like their own voice. They may also hear words or conversations in daily life that hold specific meaning.

Ways to increase clairaudience include balancing the ear chakras, and letting go of doubts, fears and preconceived ideas. An uncluttered mind will allow clear messages to come through.

Developing Clairsentience (heart chakra)

People who feel the presence of Spirit are clairsentient. This means “clear feeling” and involves physical or emotional feelings around Spirit. They may suddenly feel extra cold or warm, smell a strong scent, pick up on a strong emotion, or feel something brush against them.

Ways to increase clairsentience include choosing comfortable clothing and situations in which to work, balancing the heart chakra, and becoming more aware of physical responses and feelings.

Clairsentience Exercises:

Exercise One: Filtering emotions

Just like we have done our basic white light visualization meditation, there are a couple of other things you can do that will help you to avoid taking on the "stuff" of others. Envision a sort of bubble that is transparent that surrounds you. This bubble acts as a filter, allowing only that which you allow to flow through. Before doing psychic work, or before going around a group of people, sit quietly and state your intention. " I will only allow positive energy that is for my highest good to flow through me, and I will not take on other peoples emotions or illnesses" something of this nature. Word this to your liking. This bubble has a reflective surface, so anytime you feel negativity coming on, envision it bouncing off of this bubble. Many think these visualizations seem silly, and at first yes, they do, but silly or not they work, so give them a shot ;).

Affirmations can help a lot also. As you get ready to step out the door to do your shopping or go into other public places where you may pick up "stuff" from others, take a moment or two and use some positive affirmations, similar to what we used as a declaration of intent in the first exercise. I will let you come up with your own affirmations that you feel work for you. The key to a good affirmation is to keep them as positive statements.

Exercise Two:

For this exercise you will need a buddy. This can be someone from the psychic awareness group, or a group of your choice who don't mind you using this Ebook in their forum, or a family member or friend who is willing to work with you. If you need help finding a buddy to do these with feel free to e-mail me and I will see if I can find someone to work with you through one of the forums.

Before beginning the exercise, you may choose to do whatever protection ritual or shielding you usually do. You should have your partner remember and visualize something from the past. Have them really focus on this place in detail, seeing and feeling all that is there. They should do this for five minutes.

As they do this, close your eyes, (so that you aren't reading facial expressions or body language) and after the five minutes, tell the person what you sensed in regards to how they were feeling in this memory. If you get any visuals or anything else share that as well, but the primary goal should be to feel what the other person is experiencing.

Record the experiences in your journal, (keep the identity of your buddy private if you share your journal with anyone) noting any hits and misses etc, and what you learned. Try to do this exercise at least three times, you can use the same partner, or a different one.

Developing Claircognizance (crown chakra)

A claircognizant has “clear knowing”. The psychic guidance they receive is something they “know” without knowing how they know. Claircognizants are highly intuitive and do things on impulse because they “know” it is the right thing to do. They might receive sudden flashes of insight, or know certain facts without having learnt them.

Ways to increase claircognizance include clearing the mind to make it more receptive, living a healthy, nourishing lifestyle, and balancing the crown chakra.

Other Methods of Psychic Communication

Other ways in which to receive messages from the Spirit world include:

• Pendulums – Attuning to a quartz crystal pendulum creates yes or no answers depending on the direction it turns. The pendulum will convey answers to any questions asked of the spirit.

• Divination – There are many different angel and spirit oracle card decks on the market. A card can be randomly chosen for an appropriate message, or a specific question asked before choosing from the deck.

• Dreams – Spirit guidance often comes in the form of dreams. Focusing on dream recall before sleep gradually increases dream awareness, and writing down anything remembered in a dream journal upon waking will highlight any symbolic recurrences.

• Signs – Spirits, particularly angels, often leave signs of their presence. These include white feathers, a series of coincidences or repeated number sequences. Becoming more aware of the surrounding world increases the ability to pick up spiritual guidance.
