The SmartTank is a new biomedical test and simulation device intended to test and calibrate Respiratory Gas Monitors (RGMs) such as capnometers and anesthesia gas monitors. It uses calibration gas and a system of pneumatic hardware to run through a series of tests that simulate real world conditions to verify the RGM's performance. At the end of the test the SmartTank automatically generates RGM specific test parameters and test results, along with specific diagnostic suggestions indicating what may have caused any performance defect detected during the test. The SmartTank will be used by biomed technicians, clinical engineers and other individual responsible for ensuring the proper performance of RGMs in a medical setting. Click here for more details.
