Winter School Program
There will be two main strands to the winter school:
- Philosophical and historical aspects of logical diagrams. Facilitators: Dr Francesco Bellucci and Dr Amirouche Moktefi. This component will be delivered on January 27 until mid afternoon on January 28.
- The state of the art in diagrammatic logics. Facilitators: Dr Gem Stapleton and Dr Jim Burton. This component will be delivered from mid afternoon on January 28 to the morning of January 30.
These will be complemented by two special sessions on non-classical diagrammatic logics, with an emphasis on the representation of individuals. These special sessions will be delivered by Dr Lopamudra Choudhury and Professor Mihir Chakraborty on the afternoon of January 31.
The program will include time for one-on-one consultations with the winter school facilitators to discuss individual delegates' research ideas and possibilities for post-school advice and collaboration. This will take place on the morning of January 31.
In addition, the organizers hope to arrange a social event for the evening of July 31. Given the nominal registration fee, those wishing to participate will be asked to contribute to the cost of the event (amount to be confirmed).
The above is subject to change.
