Since 2020, I have taken over as the faculty advisor for our student chapter during the pandemic when membership dropped to zero. Through dedicated mentorship and outreach efforts, I guided the chapter's revival, growing membership back to 80 to 100 active students. The chapter has since become stronger and more resilient, achieving regional and national recognitions:
3rd place in the 2025 National GeoWall Competition in Louisville, KY. I also served as the technical advisor.
2nd place in the 2025 PSWS Geowall Competition at Cal Poly Pomona. I also served as the technical advisor.
3rd place in the 2025 PSWS Pre-stressed Concrete Beam at Cal Poly Pomona.
3rd place in the 2024 PSWS Environmental Design at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
This momentum is being carried forward into the 2026 PSWS, hosted by Cal State LA, for which I serve as the lead faculty organizing the symposium.
