THE WINCHESTER MAYFEST 2024 

SATURDAY 18th MAY

         A fantastic day was had by all, and the rain held off! 

The Winchester Mayfest is a great event with lots of Morris dancing and other displays right in the centre of Winchester.

The event is a festival and is called Mayfest simply because it is run in May each year.  The Mayfest has been an event in Winchester for many years, under various guises, and we hope that the Winchester Mayfest will continue for many more years to come.  This year we had 29 different dance sides in the streets, in the Great Hall, Cathedral grounds and St Maurice Covert, 4 music  and song concerts in St Lawrence Church and informal sessions in various pubs.
