The 117th meeting of the Wilton High School Alumni Association was held on March 28, 2015 at the Wilton Community Center. President Ted Marolf called the meeting to order, and Paul Drumm gave the invocation. Dinner was catered by Terri Denkman. Pre-dinner entertainment was provided by Bev Reuter and the WHS Chorus. The welcome was given by Jane Owens, Class of 1987, and the response was given by her daughter, Katie Owens, of the graduating class.
Superintendent Joe Burnett introduced the graduating class of 2015; twelve members were in attendance. Cole Grings and Kayla Belknap received scholarships made possible through donations to the Alumni scholarship fund. Helen Schabilion and Lori Peterson were nominated by the student body to receive "Most Valuable Teacher" awards.
Marcus Hora gave the secretary's report; Bill Lenker gave the treasurer's report; Carol Wade read the roll of classes. The eldest alumni in attendance was Ruth Kephardt, Class of 1936. Perfect attendance was observed for Mark Knouse, Aimee Barclay, Mike Denkman, Terri Denkman, and Marcus Hora.
Becky Van Atta Allgood served as Master of Ceremonies. Milestone classes honored were 1945 (70 years); 1955 (60 years); 1965 (50 years); 1975 (40 years); 1990 (25 years); and 2000 (15 years). Mrs. Allgood provided closing remarks before music provided by Keith Stanley and a camera corner set up by Shirk Photography. Attendees were invited to the "WHS All Class Homecoming" to be held in June, 2016.
