The 116th annual Wilton High School alumni reunion met on May 17, 2014 at the high school gym. Welcome was given by Catherine Brown, president of the alumni association. After the ringing of the bell, John Brown gave the invocation. Dinner was served by Zion Lutheran Church. Minutes were read by Anita Arnold, secretary. The treasurer's report was iven by treasurer Bill Lenker. Carol Wade did the roll of classes and no one was present before the class of 1940. Clarice Glenney was the oldest alumni present. Fifty-eight alumni answered the roll. Harry Schafnit came the furthest from Mesa, Arizona, and perfect attendess were Mark Knouse, Mike and Teri Denkman, Amiee Barkley, and Marcus Hora. No members of the current 2014 graduating class were in attendance. Joy Gehrls read the names of deceased members from the past year followed by a moment of silence. There was no unfinished business.
New business: a report was read from the nominating committee. Ben Brown gave an address. A class spokesperson from each of the milestone classes spoke:
Kay Grimm--1954; Alice Smith Ruffin--1964; no one present from 1974; Catherine Brown--1989
Ted Marolf presented a montage video of "If you grew up in Wilton." It was a very nice audio and video presentation. It was also available on the Face Book group. Ben Brown gave the closing remarks and the evening closed.
