With the weather forecast that is out there for Saturday morning, there is a possibility that we will not be at the Farmers' Market. We will make a final determination in the morning. If we are not there, we will be ready for you at the farm. The sweet corn is being picked and will be in the cooler overnight to keep it fresh. The melons are picked and ready to go. :)
The melons are going strong. We have cantaloupe, yellow watermelon, and the red seedless watermelon.
The pickling cukes are nearing the end, so if you haven't finished your pickles, planning on doing so soon. The yellow beans will be finishing this weekend, but we have a late planting of the green beans.
Other items available are kohlrabi, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. The green peppers are doing well. There is a great supply of the Roma tomatoes right now. They are great for salsa, spaghetti sauce or stewed tomatoes. The other larger canning tomatoes are ready, but in lesser amounts at this time.
The sauerkraut cabbage is ready. Plan on making your sauerkraut earlier this year. Let us know how much you need before you come out for it so that we may have it ready for you.
Everything is ahead of schedule this year, which means most items will be finished sooner than expected.
Thank you to everyone who visits us at the farm everyday!
We are accepting the WI Quest card along with the Senior Market vouchers and the WIC Farmers' Market vouchers.
A rather interesting side note Dave found a while back, one piece of land we purchased from his uncle many years ago, has been in the family since 1869!
