Wiki in Africa is a voluntary non-profit organisation registered in South Africa. As an agile legal and financial foundation, it brings global Wikimedia initiatives to life.

At Wiki in Africa, we inspire and empower Africans and other disenfranchised communities to share their stories, build knowledge, and promote diverse perspectives online. By collaborating with like-minded organisations, we invite participation in global knowledge systems—encouraging everyone to access, support, and champion open knowledge, the open movement, and Wikimedia projects under a free license.
