Welcome to the classroom website for my science classes at Wilson High School!
Use the navigation toolbar to find your class. Email me at ahansen@tacoma.k12.wa.us with any questions.
COVID-19 Break:
Replicating our classroom science education at home is a real challenge due to the labs, activities, and class discussions that take place normally. But lucky for us, science is all around us! I challenge you to get outside or explore something within your own home (practicing appropriate social distancing and safety) that interests you. Think about how it connects to what we've done in either chemistry or physics.
If you're interested in doing some OPTIONAL review or getting ahead, I've posted some resources below. This work will not be graded and is not meant to replace classroom learning. There also might be stuff that is way more simplistic or way more challenging than what we do in class. These resources are supplemental and are not directly aligned to what we're doing in class. HOWEVER, life is about the hustle and working harder than those around you to get ahead, so doing a little extra work while you have some time is NEVER a bad idea.
There are also resources available on the Tacoma Public Schools home page for science here: https://www.tacomaschools.org/ci/optional/pages/hs.aspx
If you're missing work from class and are trying to make it up during this time, go use the navigation tool bar to get to your class and appropriate resource (videos, documents, PowerPoints, etc.).
I'll also try to post just some cool science info/resources as I find them here. Check back frequently!
Stay well!
Review:
Getting ahead: This is NEW stuff that we haven't done yet and might seem unfamiliar. Give it a try!
