Wheeling Lodge #9 Conduct Joint Initiation

Saint Marys, WV is a small town along the Ohio River between Wheeling and Parkersburg. They have a small but very active Lodge in Saint Marys. During a visit of Reader Lodge #282, David Clark, DDGM of District #1 ran into Philip Sparks of Saint Marys Lodge #22. He was telling Brother Clark and his traveling companions about having two new members, but not enough attendees to put on a good Initiation Degree. It was suggested to Brother Sparks to contact the secretary of Wheeling Lodge #9 to do the degree in Wheeling at the next Lodge meeting seeing that Wheeling was going to be conducting an initiation then anyway. Arrangements were made, and 2 members of Saint Marys #22 along with their two candidates came to Wheeling on November 29, 2017 and received their initiation along with new Wheeling Lodge #9 member Mel Jeffcoat. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and a celebration of the Order as two Lodges worked together to help grow our Lodges and the Order in West Virginia.
