Slinging Spaghetti For CF

Wheeling Lodge #9 and Team April's Fools teamed up again this year to Raise much needed funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by holding a spaghetti dinner at the Wheeling Odd Fellows Hall. With a lunch and dinner schedule, we tried to accommodate everyone who could attend.
In all we were able to raise $1,400 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This amount will be split among the two teams to go toward their fundraising goal for the May 20, 2018 Great Strides walk at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.
In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.
This is the 7th year that Wheeling Lodge #9 has participated in the Great Strides walk, and the Lodge is proud to be able to help such a worthy cause.
