Wheeling Odd Fellows Bowling Team Clinch Spot in League Championship
February 2, 2021
With 22 weeks in the books, the Wheeling Odd Fellows Bowling Team has won first place in the second round of the season. The bowling team bowls in the Wheeling Church League at Rosebowl Lanes on Monday nights. The league season is made up of 35 weeks, broken down into three 11 week rounds, with two weeks left for Championship roll off games. With 8 teams in the league, the Odd Fellows team took the top spot in round two of the season. This guarantees the team a spot in the Championship roll off in May. The team has had some hardships this year with the loss of two members; Dan Crum had to leave the team due to moving to another state, and long-time member Dave Clark having to step down due to a knee injury. Despite these obstacles, the team has persevered and has worked hard to improve personal averages as well as the team average. Two of the top 3 most improved averages in the league for the second round are members of the Odd Fellows team; Vonn Crowe with +36.65, and Bobby Winters with +21.30 improvements. Congratulations to the team, and good luck in round three, as well as in the League Championship.
