165^th Anniversary Celebration

Around 40 people turned out for some wonderful fellowship and great food Sunday for the Wheeling Lodge #9 165^th anniversary celebration. Emcee Jeremiah Beaver, DDGM got things started with a picture slide show projected on the front wall. Lodge Chaplain Tanner Wallace gave the opening prayer, and everyone was treated to a great dinner prepared by That’s Italian Specialty Foods, and Desserts prepared by members and their spouses. After dinner, Jeremiah & his Father Edward presented the Vice Grand, Mary Jo Wallace with a gift for the Lodge. It was an American Flag that was flown over the US Capitol on December 11, 2011, the 164^th anniversary of the Lodge. Mary Jo said a few words, as did Grand Warden, Dale Metz; and Grand Patriarch Scott Shaw. All of the kids joined in in helping pull door prize tickets. The raffle for the handmade afghan was won by Shawn Beaver, 2^nd place was Verna Tarr for a $25 gift card to Bob Evans, 3^rd went to Teshia Varney, a $10 gift Card to Subway. Great food, Good fun and wonderful fellowship was had by all. We thank everyone who attended and helped make this celebration great.
