Fun was had despite the heat and a late afternoon shower on Sunday, July 7, as over 50 Lodge Members and their families came out to celebrate Odd Fellowship with food, fun and activities at Oglebay Park.
We were honored to have Grand Master, Adam Kerns in attendance, and thank him for dedicating a day of his busy schedule for us.
After lunch was served, many members dispersed among the park to partake in the many activities available. Some went to the Good Zoo, others to the Oglebay Mansion Museum and Glass Museum. A couple went fishing at Schenk Lake, while most of the kids cooled off at the pool.
At about 4:00 pm, there was a storm, which forced everyone back to the shelter, to wait for dinner. Just because it was raining, didn't mean the fun stopped there. Skip Beaver brought out 2 manual operated ice cream freezers, and every kid there (including the big kids too), took turns cranking the handle to make some of the best soft serve ice cream you've ever had.
It was a great day of Fellowship, Food and Fun!
