The Lodge Hall of Wheeling Lodge #9 is along the path of many of the races and walks that are held in the city of Wheeling. The members have taken full advantage of this fact for the past few years to get our name into the community while helping the runners and walkers that participate in the various races. Saturday morning was no exception. Lodge members arrived early Saturday morning to set up the water station in front of the Lodge Hall to cool the runners of the 10th Annual Lois Stobbs Memorial Veterans 10K. It was a bit chilly, but the runners were still appreciative of a cup of water at the 6 mile mark.
The Lois Stobbs Memorial Veterans 10K race is committed to raising funds and awareness for paralyzed veterans and veteran service dogs. Runners and walkers partake in helping the co-recipients, West Virginia Chapter Paralyzed Veterans of America and Paws for Purple Hearts equally.
