12 Members of Wheeling Lodge #9 Spend a Day at the Ballpark
It was a drizzly day at the game Sunday, but that didn’t deter the Wheeling Odd Fellow from enjoying a day out at the ballpark. 12 members of the Lodge made the trip to Washington, PA to watch the Washington Wildthings take on the Lake Erie Crushers. It was an enjoyable time, the rain never got too hard to be unbearable, and the game lasted all 9 innings. Unfortunately the Wildthings were bested, with a final score of 3-2 in favor of the Crushers. Also at the game were several Odd Fellows from the Gastonville, PA and Conellsville, PA Lodges, who introduced themselves to us and welcomed us to western PA. It turned out to be a very nice day of fellowship, friends and new friendship.
The Washington Wildthings are a Minor League Baseball team playing in the Frontier League. For more information about Wildthings baseball, visit www.washingtonwildthings.com.
