The villagers (Afterward)

The rural Neighbors of Lyng are mentioned once in the story, as Mary Boyne remembered asking around if anyone had information about the ghost at Lyng. These people supported Alida’s statement that there is indeed a ghost at Lyng (Wharton 346).
