Celebrating 200 years of Charles Dickens at Clitheroe Torchlight

Come and support the Whalley Pickwick Committee who are taking part in Clitheroe's Torchlight Procession on Saturday 25th August !! We are celebrating the 200 year anniversary of Charles Dickens Birthday, and our float will be hosting some of Mr Dickens most famous characters.

The Clitheroe Torchlight Event is a whole day of celebration and activities. See below for what is happening on the 25th August.

•10:00 - Road Closure Enforced (Castle Street Only)
•12:00 - Street Entertainment Starts
•14:40 - Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire Display
•17:00 - Street Entertainment Finnish
•19:15 - Full Road Closure Enforced
•19:20 - Cyclists Set Off Around The Route
•19:40 - Cyclists Complete Route and Finnish at Clitheroe Royal Grammer School Car Park
•19:45 - Main Procession Sets Off
•22:15 - Firework Display, Clitheroe Castle
