I am a Data Scientist and AI Researcher with dual PhDs in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, and more than 15 years of experience applying Machine Learning, NLP and Distributed Systems in government, industry and academia. I currently serve as Director of the Master’s in Data Science at Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería and lead AI projects across Latin America and Europe.
Formation:
Doctor of Computer Science from the IMT Atlantique (Nantes, France) and the University Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería. Thesis: Secure Distributed Workflows for Biomedical Data Analysis.
Master in Science of Computer Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico (Mayagüez). Thesis: A multi-algorithmic approach to the analysis of biological sequences.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in 2006 and Mathematics in 2008, both from the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería (Bogotá, Colombia).

Creator and organizer of the Colombia Data Summit (National Data Science Congress), editions 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Student mentor in programming competencies and winner of NASA hackathons.
Speaker and consultant on AI, automation, and data-driven problem solving.
