Background

Westwood elementary teacher Jen Teahan, head high school XC/track coach, resident and former co-director of Ultimate Athlete (2006-2009) will provide the structure and foundation for this unique club along with Ed Lyons', former Bentley University coach, and many former Westwood athletes who now compete at the collegiate level in varying sports.

This club is an opportunity for people to gather socially and it offers a challenge both physically and mentally. It will offer fast-paced, highly engaging training for every group level.

The experience of track is more than just stepping on the track and running in circles. It is about sharing, learning and helping others become the best they can be.

Unlike weeklong intensive camps, which ultimately cause injuries and show no improvement in your overall abilities, this summer club is designed to enhance the athletic abilities of each individual over a healthy duration of time to achieve proper strength and conditioning.

The club is aimed at individuals and families who really want to become fitter, better athletes and leaders.

It is our hope that athletes will leave the club healthy, motivated, and excited to reach their goals. Athletes with a desire to excel are highly encouraged to attend.

Westwood Track Club was founded with great excitement in 2010. The main goal is to be a conditioning club that will foster the fundamentals of track, but also the importance of team, individual growth and overall health.
