WBC does not use any kind of a ranking system to indicate the different skill level of its members nor does it use a system to impose time limits on matches. Rather WBC uses the "honour system" where by members freely set up a foursome before getting on the court and by simply keeping track of when you’re foursome is next up to play. Be courteous by allowing players that have not had a chance to play or warm up to do so. No consecutive matches amongst teams or individuals. This system works because the level of play at WBC is very similar among players.
Please always assist others in setting up and taking down the nets to maximize play time.
The gym is officially available for our badminton activity from 7-10pm only. Do not start earlier than 7:00 pm even if the gym is open. All play should end at 9:55 pm and allow 5 minutes minimum to get change and to clear out of the gym.
The equipment box is locked after each night and the first person to come in is responsible for opening the box (the lock combination is provided). The last person to leave the club is responsible for ensuring that the nets and birds are put away and that the equipment box is securely locked.
The gym floor is cleaned from pop cans and debris by the janitor before we enter the gym. Therefore we must return it to the same condition after play. Pick up any empty bottles, old birds, forgotten racquets or clothing.
Please leave all street boots and shoes outside the gym entrance especially during the winter months. Only, proper non-marking court shoes are allowed on the gym floor.
Members are allowed to use the gym’s changing rooms but are not allowed to use the showers as this is not in the clubs permit agreement.
All guests and their host should report to one of the club executives at the beginning of the night as there is a $7/night/guest fee to play and all guests must sign a waiver form.
21 rally point scoring system is followed .
