Heather Weiland

My strong understanding of student and adult learners is shown by my use of research-based instructional practices in my teaching. I understand the importance of building relationships, leading by example, creating trust, and having integrity in order to move staff and students forward. I have a strong work ethic and ability to see the big picture, yet the patience to accomplish goals. I am extremely organized and able to accomplish difficult tasks under pressure, although, I am not afraid to seek out advice when needed. 

Common assessments, development, and  RtI interventions, technology implementation, and research-based instructional practices are a few of the things I have helped implement.  I have also provided professional development for four school districts with writer’s and reader' workshop. I have continued to mentor and assist these teachers today.
