Weijun Xie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology in Summer 2017. He also obtained two M.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics and in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering awarded by Tsinghua University, Beijing.

His primary research interest is operations research, particularly, theory and applications of data-driven distributionally robust optimization, stochastic programming, and discrete optimization. He is also working on various applications, including power system design under uncertainty, transportation network design with service disruption, stochastic location routing problem, and infrastructure maintenance.
