Terms and Conditions

Chauffeured Rentals:

1. The Vehicle may only be driven by the assigned Chauffeur.

2. Petrol, Parking and ERP charges are included.

3. Car decorations are not included.

4. Complimentary trip (unless otherwise stated) to Bridal Studio, Florist or couple's choice of location for car decorations on eve of actual day.

5. Maximum number of passengers allowed in the car will be as indicated in the description for each car. Additional charges will apply if maximum number of passengers is exceeded, and couple will be liable in the event that any damage is caused to the car.

6. Car will only be reserved when a deposit of minimum 50% of rental charges is received.

7. Balance payment can be made latest on actual day itself when car arrives at the first location.

8. For use in Singapore only, additional charges apply for travel to Malaysia for car decorations and for the wedding itself.

9. Rental surcharge for bookings commencing before 7am, rates varies according to the selected car.

10. Payment by Bank Transfer or Cash only.

11. Smoking or consumption of food or flavoured drinks is strictly not allowed in the vehicle at all times.

12. Animals and pets are strictly not allowed into the Vehicle.

13. Overrun charges apply once rental timing is exceeded by a grace period of 10 minutes.

14. No refund of unused hours upon booking confirmation.

15. Compensation of 10% of rental charges is applicable once car arrives later than 10 minutes from rental commencement time.

Self Drive Rentals:

1. The Lessee undertakes to use the Vehicle in accordance with the provisions in the Rental Agreement.

2. The Vehicle is the property of the Owner and the Lessee holds no ownership of the Vehicle.

3. The Vehicle may only be driven by the Authorized Lessee or the Authorized Driver(s) stated in the Agreement.

4. The Lessee will be required to provide a security deposit to the Owner in the amount stated in the Agreement to be used in the event of loss or damage to the Vehicle during the term of the rental. In the event of damage to the Vehicle, the Owner will apply this security deposit to defray the costs of necessary repairs or replacement. If the cost for repair or replacement of damage to the Vehicle exceeds the amount of the security deposit, the Lessee will be responsible for payment to the Owner for the balance of this cost.

5. An additional Authorised Driver can be added with an additional charge of S$30.00 per Driver.

6. Minimum age and driving experience will apply according to the requirements of each car. A young/inexperienced Driver excess will apply for any Driver below the minimum age or driving experience in addition to the Policy Excess.

7. The Lessee is to carefully use the Vehicle and keep it in good order, as well as not to make any reconstruction or dismounting of the parts of the Vehicle without a prior written acceptance from the Owner.

8. During the duration which the Vehicle is in possession of the Lessee, the Lessee owes a duty of care to the Owner to maintain the Vehicle in its borrowed condition. The Owner reserves the right to claim against the Lessee for any damages incurred to the Vehicle including the loss of income, if any, suffered by the Owner. The lessee will be liable for damages caused by Act of God which will be claimed back from the Lessee by the Owner.

9. In any event that the Vehicle is found damaged or required repair in any parts of the Vehicle due to the Lessee's negligence, the Lessee shall bear full cost of the repair work that is needed to recover the Vehicle to working condition.

10. The Lessee shall not drive the Vehicle whilst under the influence of intoxicating liquor, drugs or any substances that may impair the Driver's ability to operate the Vehicle in a safe manner.

11. The Vehicle is equipped with an anti-theft device and GPS trackers that will respond to the Radio Frequency at the Singapore Customs. For unauthorized entry to Malaysia, including both Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints, the Lessee will be fully liable for all costs and charges incurred in the event that the immobilizer is activated. There will be no refund of unused rental time and the Lessee shall bear the cost of the following charges:

i. S$300.00 for towing

ii. S$500.00 for resetting of the immobilizer

12. The Lessee is obliged to inform the Owner and fully pay any fines issued by the Government during the Lessee's period of hire.

13. The imposed speed limit of the Vehicle is based on the provisions that is set for each Vehicle. If the Vehicle is found to exceed the speed limit, the Owner reserves the right to repossess the Vehicle without refund of unused monies and will also result in a forfeiture of deposit. If found to be speeding at 150km/h and above, there will also be a wear and tear surcharge of up to S$1000.00.

14. Usage of the Vehicle for illegal purposes is strictly prohibited. It is forbidden to hire the Vehicle out to third persons or to allow unauthorized persons or learners to use the Vehicle or to permit for illegal purposes involved in crimes or for the purposes of test or racing. Failure to comply will result in the Lessee being held fully responsible and shall indemnify the Owner for all losses incurred including, the value of the Vehicle in the case of wreckage, seizure or confiscation of the Vehicle. An additional fine of up to S$5000.00 will be imposed by the Owner on top of the amount payable.

15. The Lessee shall not be entitled to:

i. Use the Vehicle outside of Singapore

ii. Use the Vehicle for tracking or racing purposes

iii. Use the Vehicle to partake in unlawful activities

iv. Use of the Vehicle for reckless/stunt-driving

v. Hire the Vehicle out to third persons (sublet)

vi. Let unauthorized persons or learners operate the Vehicle

If the Vehicle is found to be driven by anyone without a locally recognized driving license, the Vehicle will be seized by the Owner without any refund and a penalty of S$3000.00 will be imposed on all parties responsible. If the Lessee is found to have engaged in any of the activities listed above, he shall be liable for any costs incurred by the Owner as a result of the misdemeanor of up to S$10000.00.

16. In the case of an accident, the Vehicle must not be moved and the Lessee must report to the Owner immediately. If there are bodily injuries, a police report must be made within 24 hours. The Lessee shall agree on repair works, damage amount estimation and payment or claims procedures. No repair is to be done without the approval from the Owner.

17. Upon claiming the Vehicle insurance of the borrowed Vehicle, the Lessee has to pay an excess of up to S$15000.00 to the Owner, subject to the terms and conditions of the underwritten insurance policy.

18. The Owner shall not be liable to make any payment to the Lessee in respect of or to indemnify the Lessee against any loss, injuries or damage sustained by the Lessee or any third party as a result of any defect therein or in taking delivery of the Vehicle. The Lessee has agreed and is satisfied in all respect that the Vehicle is roadworthy and able to operate in a proper, safe condition.

19. Punctured tyres, damaged tyres and rims, empty petrol tank, flat battery due to negligence, loss of the Vehicle's key or key locked inside the Vehicle does not constitute to a breakdown and the costs to restore the Vehicle to its original condition shall be fully borne by the Lessee.

20. The Lessee is required to return the Vehicle fuel at the same level when he/she borrowed from the Owner, which will be specified on the Agreement. An inconvenience fee of SGD20.00 will be imposed on top of the cost of the fuel used should the vehicle be returned with less fuel than what is specified on the Agreement. There will be no refund for excess fuel.

21. The Vehicle must be refilled with fuel rated minimum RON 95/98/Vpower. The Lessee shall be required to provide the receipt upon returning the Vehicle. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of deposit.

22. The Lessee is required to return the Vehicle and key/key tag in the same condition when he/she borrowed from the Owner. Lost or damage of key tag will be charged at the price quoted by the official agent of the Vehicle.

23. The Lessee will be liable for late return charges, amount charged will depend on the car rented out.

24. Windscreen and window damage is not covered by insurance and costs to restore the damage part will be fully borne by the Lessee.

25. The Vehicle is to be returned in its original condition with all the existing accessories and tools and also in good order and condition as it is collected by the Lessee on or prior to the expiration of the period of hire.

26. If any defects or damages to the Vehicle are discovered by the Owner, the Lessee shall cover all the expenses of the Owner related to rectifying the defects and damages.

27. The Lessee or his/her passengers must not smoke in the vehicle, failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of deposit.

28. The Vehicle is to be returned in clean condition, failing to do so will result in a penalty of S$50.00 to wash the Vehicle. If the paint is stained, a further penalty of S$100.00 will be imposed to polish the Vehicle. Should the Vehicle be unable to be restored to original condition, the Lessee will bear the costs of repainting the Vehicle.

29. For all disputes and arguments arisen from the Agreement, or related to it, the parties shall resolve by mutual negotiations. If the parties do not manage to negotiate, the dispute shall be resolved in the court institutions of the Republic of Singapore.

30. Any default in payment will result in a legal / civil claim against the Lessee. The Lessee is liable to bear all costs including but not limited to legal fees, court fees, debt collector fees, loss of income, etc.

31. In the case of a breach in the terms and conditions of the Agreement, the Owner reserves the rights to resume possession of the hired Vehicle at any time from the Lessee in the Owner's interest without prejudice.

32. The term of the Agreement runs from the date and hour of the Vehicle pickup specified on the Agreement until the return of the Vehicle to the Owner, and completion of all terms of the Agreement by both parties.

33. The Owner reserves the right to disclose the Lessee's particulars to any law enforcing authority within the Republic of Singapore should the need arise.

34. Animals and pets are not allowed into the Vehicle, failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of deposit.

35. The Vehicle will only be reserved when a deposit of minimum 50% of rental charges is received, or otherwise stated based on the selected Vehicle.

36. Security deposit will be refunded upon the Vehicle returned in same condition as when it was collected. Refund will be either immediate or after a certain duration after the Vehicle return, based on the provisions of the selected Vehicle.

37. Wedding Carz reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time, and the Lessee agrees to abide by the most recent version of the Terms of Use Agreement each time the Lessee signs the Agreement. The Lessee is accordingly advised to consult the Terms of Use Agreement each time the Lessee borrows the Owner's vehicle. Do not sign on the Agreement if the Lessee does not agree to all the aforementioned terms and conditions.
