I am professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University and a research fellow at CESifo and IZA.
Since 2023, I have also been editor at Scandinavian Journal of Economics. If you are curious about the state of the journal, you can learn more in Harding, Rendahl, Simonsen and Wengström (2025): The Scandinavian Journal of Economics at 125: a note from the editors, https://doi.org/10.1111/sjoe.12583.
My academic interests lie within family, health and labor economics. I currently explore how reforms of welfare policies affect children's wellbeing and human capital; the role of universal parenting support during the transition to parenthood; and how to support children who grow up in families plagued by substance use problems.
