my teaching
Video policy: Certain elementary knowledge will be covered only in videos, not in classes. The precious lecture time will be used to cover some topics that are more difficult and deserve more attentions. The videos will not be provided to unenrolled students or auditing students. [Then, what should you do? Click to see my tip]
My enrolment tip: At CUHK, add/drop is not allowed in the first teaching week. Thus, students wanting to get access to the videos earlier should enroll in my classes during the course registration period. Don't wait until the add/drop period (starting from the second teaching week) to add.
Timetable planner submission: To prepare tutorial schedules for my courses, students must submit the timetable planners by the end of the first class. Enrolled students can submit electronic copies via Blackboard. [Then, what should unenrolled students do? Click to see my suggestion.]
Unenrolled students (intending to join my course during add/drop period) must appear the first class in the first week in person: you should download the timetable planner here and send it to a specified email provided in the first class. If the first class is cancelled due to emergency (e.g. bad weather), we will not take unenrolled students' timetables into account. These students should add/drop based on the tutorial schedule announced in the next class.
Course outlines: No outlines in paper-form will be distributed in classes anymore. The electronic versions can be downloaded below once they are ready. They may be updated or modified later (if so, announcements will be made in Blackboard).
