ALL players MUST wear proper attire and gear to practices/matches:
Cleats: A "rugby boot" or soccer cleat is acceptable. Spikes or cleats that contain the single "toe" or hard plastic blades are NOT allowed.
Extra cleat studs/laces/cleat key.
Underarmor is NOT required, but if you are going to wear underarmor, then it MUST be black. EPRU regulations require that all players are dressed the same for matches.
Knee-high socks - The club will be purchasing the game socks for the players. The players will need to purchase their own socks for use at practices.
Navy blue rugby shorts (girls) and white rugby shorts (boys) - Players must purchase their own shorts from a local sporting goods store. You will also need tight spandex shorts to wear under the rugby shorts at matches. They can be black, navy or white.
Mouth guard: You MUST purchase a mouth guard and bring it to ALL practices/games. You will need to follow the directions on the back of the mouth guard package to conform the shape of the mouth guard to your teeth.
Clothing for practices: Please be properly dressed. Rugby is not a sport for short shorts, tank tops, baggy clothes, etc. Take that from the players who got clothing ripped last season. It’s always a good idea to wear spandex or compression shorts underneath your shorts too. Fitness attire is expected.
Scrum caps are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but not required; however, if you have had a previous head injury, concussion, etc., then you will be required to wear a scrum cap during matches.
Other items to consider but NOT required: shin guards, shoulder vests, etc.
