The Wayne Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America is composed of members from Wayne, Nebraska and surrounding community's with an interest in the great outdoors and preserving the natural resources. Active members of the Ike's are responsible for the maintenance and restoration of Ike's Lake.
The lake is used for family recreation including: fishing, kayaking, camping, birdwatching, picnicking, and much more.
Ike's Lake is a 4.7-acre recreational lake that is located 4 miles north and 2 miles west of Wayne. With it only being about a five minute drive from Wayne, it's very quick to take the kids fishing and be back home shortly.
The property includes a club house, two picnic pavilions, playground equipment, handicapped fishing access and restroom facilities.
Please keep the gate locked at all times.
Ike's Lake is also used to educate children and community members about the history, nature, and wildlife.

Fish Species in our Lake
In the Main Lake: Bass, Bluegill, Green Sunfish, Sterile Grass Carp, Hybrid Bluegill
In the North Section by handicap dock: Bluegill, and Perch
We currently have a catch & release on all species.
A valid State of Nebraska fishing permit is required while fishing and all State fishing laws should be followed.
