About Me

HELLO! My name is Beth Murray and I joined the awesome WAO staff Fall 2012. I teach a variety of business courses at Warren-Alvarado-Oslo School.

MY EDUCATION: I attended Yakima Valley Community College and Columbia Basin Community College, earning an Associates of Arts Degree. I then transferred to, and graduated, from Washington State University with a Business Administration Degree. Most recently I attended Bemidji State University and earned my teaching credentials!

MY WORK EXPERIENCE: I bring real-world work experience as a teacher of Business Education. I worked my way through college working full time and attending classes at night or on-line. My previous work experience has been diverse! I have worked for several Federal Agencies (US Social Security Administration, US Immigration & Naturalization, US Department of Energy) as well as many private organizations (Selandia Manor Water Association, Central Lutheran Church, as well as was self-employed running a home daycare. I have also served at Tri-County Schools and student taught at Marshall County Central High School.

MY ACTIVITIES: I enjoy golfing, snowmobiling, and movie nights with my family. I am very active in the community, volunteering wherever I can. I have been a Girl Scout Leader, Youth Group Leader, and Sunday School teacher for ten years.

I've been fortunate to live in different parts of the country. I grew up in Illinois and Washington State. I also lived in Virginia (near Washington DC). I currently live in Karlstad, MN with my husband (Steve), daughter (Sarah), and son (Stevo). I also have two step-daughters (Meghan & Erin) who both live in Washington State. Here is my wonderful family.
