• • 2012/8/1 Going South! Starting from August 1, 2012, I am an assistant professor (助理教授) teaching full-time at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling (教育心理與輔導學系), National Pingtung University of Education (國立屏東教育大學), Pingtung.

Professional

I am a Licensed Counseling Psychologist (諮商心理師) in Taiwan. I received my PhD and MEd in Counseling Psychology from the Department of Guidance & Counseling, National Changhua University of Education, Changhua, Taiwan.

I currently work as an adjunct counseling psychologist at several colleges and universities' counseling centers, including Tung Hai Univeristy, National Taichung University, and Hung Kuang University. I provide individual or family counseling services to students and staffs and also supervise counseling interns.

I also teach at colleges. Current I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Department of Senior Services Management, Minghsin University of Science and Technology; Department of Social Work, Asia University; and Department of Applied Psychology, Hsuan Chuang University.

Academic

My main research interest is to study how people construct and perform their gender identity, and how these constructions develop and are influenced by the social cultural context. Currently I am conducting my doctoral dissertation on "the social construction of masculinities in emerging adulthood". I would like to explore how male college students construct their masculinities using positioning theory and narrative/discourse analysis.

I am also interested in social constructionist narrative therapy, couple and family therapy, feminist therapy, and LGBT and multicultural issues in counseling and supervision.
