OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that Scouting is:
· An important part of the physical, mental, and social development of our youth.
· For all youth and all families.
· Family-focused and enhances parent-child relationships.
· Service to Home and Community.
· Fun!
The Scout Law mentions that a Scout is reverent. In Pack 465, we view this reverence as a recognition and acknowledgment of oneself in a higher organization.
Pack 465 also recognizes that a family’s spiritual foundation is a personal decision. The Boy Scouts of America encourages its members to actively practice their own religious faith. Scouting is a non-denominational religious and educational institution and all faiths are welcome.
CUB SCOUT OATH
On my honor I will do my best to
do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the scout law;
to help other people at all time;
to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.
CUB SCOUT LAW
A Scout is trustworthy,
loyal,
helpful,
friendly,
courteous,
kind,
obedient,
cheerful,
thrifty,
brave,
clean,
and reverent.
