We received two self-nominations for open board positions. Voting will take place onsite at the WADE conference, by written ballot. Look for your ballot with your nametag, and we will share detailed instructions during the opening session.
For Co-President 1:
Nominee: Alison Crowley, Project Manager and Outreach Educator, Walla Walla County CD
Nomination statement: I have enjoyed learning new skills as the Vice President for the past 2 years, and coordinating the WADE conference has been a fun and enriching experience. I want to continue the momentum we have with WADE and develop more leadership skills as the Co-President.
For Secretary:
Nominee: Zoe Nelson, Program Manager, Education, King CD
Nomination statement: I’m interested in serving on the board because I want opportunities to expand my skillset, gain experience in organizational leadership, and contribute in new ways beyond my current role. I value spaces where conservation district staff can learn from one another, share ideas, and build supportive professional networks, and I would be excited to help foster those opportunities through WADE.
The WADE board has several unfilled positions, eligible for a mid-term appointment; Vice-President, Treasurer, Director 1 (Finance Committee), and Director 2 (Conference Coordination Committee). Click HERE to view Board Position Descriptions for more detail on each of these opportunities.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please reach out to Sarah Moorehead, Alison Crowley, Craig Nelson, or Jan Thomas.
