Welcome!  

My name is Tracy Blair and I'm running for re-election for the 2024 Muskego Norway School Board position.

Here is some personal information about myself and my family.

My husband Brett and I have been married for 26 years.  Together we own a small business called Excel Building Services LLC.  We have six kids.  

Zachary is 25 and is working as a Civil Engineer for the Department of Transportation, Waukesha County. He graduated from MSOE and played on their soccer team.

Rachael is 24 and is just finishing up her last year in graduate school at LSU. She is currently applying to residency for Medical Physics. She graduated from Carthage College and played on their soccer team.

Joshua is 21 and is pursuing to be a journeyman electrician for Next Electric.

Heather is 20 and is a junior at UW Whitewater pursuing a teaching degree in elementary education.

Matthew is 18 and is at WCTC pursuing a degree in Firefighter Safety/Paramedic, he is currently on the Tess Corner's Volunteer fire department. 

Anthony is 16 and is a 11th grader at Muskego High School.  He plays volleyball, basketball, and track at the high school.

Prior to the high school, all of the kids attended Lake Denoon and Country Meadows Elementary School.

As you can see participating in sports is a portion of our lives, but we also are big on spending time as a family together.  We attend St. Leonard's Parish and are involved with many different activities around town too. All of the kids were in scouts and understand the importance of helping one another out.

I have also been very involved in the school district.  Prior to being on the board, I attended numerous school board meetings and participated in school board planning committees. I have always been on the suggestion side of the table so 6 years ago I ran so that I could move to the other side of that table.  To be more active in the setting of policies and proposing fiscally sound budgets.  

Since being on the board, I was assigned the position of being on Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) 1's Board of Control, currently serving as their Vice President. And I have achieved a level 2 in the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) Member Recognition Program.  I have been very committed to learning as much as I can these last 6 years.  

I enjoy listening to suggestions and opinions from the community and then acting upon them.  Being a nurse for over 30 years, I understand the role of being an advocate.  I’ve been on the strategic planning committee, the parent advisory committee and the human growth and development committee.  Being a member on these committes helped tremendously since I could bring this knowledge to the board.  Another benefit is having children that participate in many classes and activities within the school district.  With these experiences, I have a keen awareness of what is necessary to keep our district moving in a positive direction. 

I have truly enjoyed my last six years of being on the board. I have learned over the years what a great district we have.  The teachers, parents and students are outstanding even through a pandemic.
