When the league needed an injection of new blood, the Bauer Rangers answered the bell back in 2013-14. It marked the arrival of a youth movement within the league of speed and skill (ok, the second part is debatable). Not a bad logo and a decent play on words for a pack of kids born in the 1990s. In their time they would rise from paupers to Kings of the VMA. They suffered a devastating Finals series loss in 2015 at the hands of the Silverbacks. In 2015-16 would remove the Bauer, get a sponsor and became the Rangers of Peddlers Daughter. They would revamp the roster and in 16-17 they who ascend to the Cup, sweeping the Whalers to become the princes of Haverhill. A year later, they come up short in their title defense to the Tusks losing in the Finals - a blow so heavy, the franchise would disband at the end of the 2017-18 season.Below are their jerseys for Peddlers ('15-18) with the "Bauer" Ranger lightning bolt on the shoulder and further below is their former royal (2013-15) jerseys. Both carry the number "9" as recognition to a lost brethren. Cup Champs in 2017.
Part 2: Word broke in the summer of 2019 that the Rangers franchise was plotting their return to the VMA. And with their rightful place back in the league came a new (mustard) jersey... sponsored by Guinness AND with the Bauer Rangers bolt on the cuff.
