Name

The official name of this organization is “Vista Linda Homeowners Association.” For a number of years it was referred to as the “Vista Linda Neighborhood Association” in documents and accounts (without any official name change). The two names refer to the same organization.

Membership

Vista Linda Homeowners Association is incorporated by the state and registered with the Taos County Clerk’s office. Dues are $50.00 per year. The Annual Meeting is held in September.

Board

The HOA Board consists of 5 members elected at annual meetings serving 2-year alternating terms. The Board is charged with conducting HOA business.

Roads

The roads in Vista Linda are private roads maintained by the HOA. A typical year will see major maintenance & improvements in the spring, top-dressing if needed in the fall, and snowplowing in the winter for snows of 5 inches or more (to preserve the surface of the roads). We budget $30,000+ each year for road work. As of 2020, road assessments for all owners are $200 per year.

Governance

The Covenants date back to 1970. In compliance with Taos County Planning regulations, the Architectural Review Committee must approve all construction according to our Architectural Standards. The HOA and the Board strive to abide by our Articles of Incorporation and our ByLaws.
