The Virginia Balloon Study is a joint effort by Clean Virginia Waterways and the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. Both organizations are 501(c)3 non-profit organizations and depend on donations and grants to work towards their missions.

The Virginia Balloon Study is currently unfunded and has been run on volunteer time. With an increased need for this important data, funding is needed to help get the word out about the study, analyze the data and report findings.
