I joined  International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIITB) as an Assistant Professor in Dec 2021. From Mar 2018 till Dec 2021, I worked as a Post-Doc in the Big Data, Data Science, and Databases research group of Prof. Martin Theobald, at the University of Luxembourg. During that time, I was fortunate to work with the ISM team in Luxembourg (as a resource person) and at Leuphana University, Lüneburg, Germany (as an external lecturer). 

My current research at IIITB has a technological focus that includes building systems for high-velocity stream data processing, distributed deep learning and scalable reasoning. I am broadly interested in working in the various facets of Large-scale Information/Data Management (such as distributed query processing, semantic indexing, information extraction and information retrieval), Knowledge Graphs, Neurosymbolic AI and Semantic Web Technologies. 

I received a doctoral degree in Computer Science & Engineering in 2017 from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), under the supervision of Prof. P Sreenivasa Kumar. I was then associated with the Ontology-based Research Group of Artificial Intelligence and Database Lab at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Before joining IITM, I worked as a Programmer Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited for a short period. Prior to that, I worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, under the supervision of Dr. Partha S Roop. I obtained a Master of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Vellore Institute of Technology, India, in 2011, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology, India, in 2009.
