About us

We intensively work with knowledge representation structures (such as Description Logics Ontologies and large scale Knowledge Graphs), Semantic Web technologies and Database management systems. We are a part of Artificial Intelligence & Database Lab at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Our research group is supervised by Dr. P Sreenivasa Kumar, Professor, Dept of CSE, IIT Madras.

Our main objective is to utilize ontologies and related technologies to enhance the existing Information Management Systems. A particular focus is given on extracting entities and relations from textual and semi-structured sources, with a view to enrich Linked Open Data with as many appropriate ontological axioms and assertions as possible. Some of our recent works are listed below:

* Automated enrichment of Linked Open Data,

* Ontology-based question generation systems,

* Efficient and scalable processing of frequent SPARQL queries,

* Atomic Decomposition based modular extraction for large ontologies,

* Finding Superior Skyline Points from Incomplete Data.
