Welcome to Vintage Pro Football, a website devoted to the vintage era of pro football, from the mid 1960's thru the mid 1980's. This time period is also known as the era of classic pro football. I have been a lifelong fan of professional football. I have a particular fondness for the golden age of the game that became the national sport. It was that game, those teams and players that united communities, cities and the nation. I have been collecting videos from that era for decades.
This site is intended for collectors. Videos are not sold from this site. If you find something you want to add to your collection, then offer me something in trade. If you don't have anything to offer in trade, then I can provide videos for a small fee to cover the expense of providing them. Simply email me with what you want. I have over 700 videos of games from 1945 thru the current season. The two-thirds of them are from the vintage era, the mid 1960's thru the mid 1980's. The instructions for initiating a trade can be found on the Contact Me page.
My primary area of interest is the Miami Dolphins. In the Summer of 1966, my family moved back to Central Florida. I started second grade that Fall. That was the year the Dolphins played their first season. I became a Dolphins fan and an AFL fan. The Chiefs, Raiders, Jets, and of course the Dolphins, were favorites. The 1970 season was historic. The AFL-NFL merger was completed and the Dolphins became winners. Over half of my videos are Miami games.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the American Football League, NFL Films produced "Full Color Football" for Showtime in 2009. This is a 5-part documentary on the founding and history of the AFL which lasted 10 seasons, from 1960 to 1969. The videos are available on YouTube.
The Game lists use abbreviation to conserve space. Teams are abbreviated by City. For example, the Miami Dolphins are listed as MIA, Kansas City Chiefs as KC, etc. In cases where teams have been in more than one city they are listed by mascot. For example, the Oakland/LA Raiders are listed as RAID. Other abbreviations are used and this page will serve as your guide.
