Nate Ristoff

Nate graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in physics in 2014. While an undergraduate, Nate did summer study at DESY in Hamburg, Germany working with solid state lasers made from Yb:LuO. Nate took a gap year between undergraduate and graduate study and worked in the Imaging Research Labratory in the University of Washington Radiology Department. While there he worked on optimizing the forward scatter of scintillation light in a crystal via laser etchings to be used in better detection for PET scans. Since March 2018, Nate has been working in the Acosta lab on NV biosensing.
