Varsity Field Hockey Coach - Christine Hough
Coach Christine is an alum of Vista High School and a former player of Vista Field Hockey. Coach Christine is a retired Marine of 22 years where she mentored and trained hundreds of Marines. She served as an instructor and platoon advisor at the basic school where she has countless hours of conducting daily physical fitness training and platform instruction at the schoolhouse as well as successfully graduating six platoons of Marines.
Coach Christine received her Associate Instructor and Master Instructor Certificates through the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She also has an MBA in Business Administration and a Masters in Supply Chain Management from University of San Diego.

Varsity Field Hockey Assistant Coach - Nikki Olguin
Hello! My name is Nikki and I am the new assistant coach for field hockey! I was born and raised in north county, but more specifically San Marcos. I attended high school at Mission Hills and went on to play field hockey at the collegiate level at Ohio Wesleyan University #GoBishops! Shortly after I obtained my masters in School Counseling. My fun fact is that I come from a family of field hockey players and I have played field hockey since I was 7! I trained and competed with a variety of clubs, such as Hot Stix, RUSH, Navajo, Premier, & with Mystix.! Although I am new to the position, I am not new to the school or the Vista High Field Hockey program. Currently, I am entering my second year as a school counselor and I support last names H-Martinez, but I’m always happy to support all of our athletes! As for our VHS Fhockey program, we go way back! I participated in Vista Summer Fun between the ages 10-17 under the coaching of Coach Gail Petty. She transformed me from a couch potato to well rounded athlete. For this reason, I am especially grateful to return to Vista as a Coach and give back to a program that played a major role in my own athletic & personal development. I am a firm believer that sports changes lives & brings people and communities together! I am so excited to embark on this new journey with a great group of athletes!
