Moving Forward

Short Term:

• Add volunteer events to the Volunteer Sedona and the Verde Valley calendar.

• Organize collaborative volunteer projects to bring in a wider range of volunteers.

• Inventory current science efforts on the Verde River and identify opportunities for citizen science in coordination with the Verde Watershed Report Card and Verde Front-related monitoring.

Long Term:

• Incorporate a volunteer professional development ladder. 

  • Provide ways for volunteers to increase their expertise and experience and move up to increasingly responsible volunteer positions (leadership development).

• Organize a volunteer recruitment fair.
