Moving Forward

Short Term:

• Develop a Verde Valley ParkRx program.

Long Term/Ongoing:

• Engage community health staff and explore funding opportunities for health and wellness through outdoor recreation improvements in coordination with the Verde Front River Recreation and Trails Working Groups.

• Continue to integrate community health programs with Verde Front recreation programs where aligned to promote active lifestyles and healthy communities in the region.

• Explore opportunities with partners to develop a program for kayaking groups and stewardship.

• Inspect current safety signage.

  • Research and develop safe flow parameters for recreators, in coordination with River Recreation.

• Explore potential partnerships to promote river safety efforts.
