This week we took a trip to the Worcester Art Museum to begin our hunt for missing Venetian artwork. In addition to setting up a meeting with the curator to discuss how to most effectively track down provenance, we scoured the pieces on display and discovered several works once in Venice. One of these works was Portrait of a Lady, painted by a follower of the Venetian artist Jacopo Tintoretto. We hope to lear more about this work through our continued research.
